Gerard Leotaud, DMP, is a skilled podiatrist practicing at New York Medical and Vascular Care, with convenient locations across Brooklyn. Early in his career, Dr. Leotaud was drawn to podiatry after seeing patients arrive in pain and leave pain-free. As a result, he takes great satisfaction in helping patients remain pain-free through both conservative and surgical care.
Dr. Leotaud completed his undergraduate studies at Charter Oak State College in Connecticut and CUNY Queens College in New York City. He subsequently earned his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2017. He later completed a three-year surgical residency at Richmond University Medical Center, where he trained in all aspects of podiatric medicine, including forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery, trauma care, wound management, and diabetic limb salvage. During his final year, he served as chief resident, managing the podiatric team, leading weekly academic sessions, training junior residents, and collaborating with other medical specialties.
Dr. Leotaud is board-qualified in foot surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and New York State Podiatric Medical Association and is affiliated with Richmond University Medical Center.
